Born and raised in The Bahamas, Theo McClain is an avid photographer and illustrator. He graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design and returned to The Bahamas with a passion for unveiling the gems hidden in the family of islands.
McClain’s photography seeks to document the narrative of the Bahamian lived experience, focusing on raising social consciousness as opposed to the mere glorification of sun, sand and sea. His work traverse popular festivals, the inner city, and the least explored islands that represent the multifaceted Bahamian identity.
His photography has been featured in various media outlets including but not limited to Mahogany House website, The College of The Bahamas magazine, Colina Calendar, promotional photography for well-known Bahamian artist Willis and the Illest Reggae Band, The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce, Balducinnos Fine Wine, CFAL, Ansbacher, Caves Heights, Bahamas Telecommunications Company and many more.
